Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is a national level online entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) every year. The exam is conducted to provide admission to candidates in MSc and other postgraduate courses offered in IITs and integrated PhD courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Other institutes like the National Institutes of Technolgy (NITs), and other centrally funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions.

Eligibility

JAM 2021 eligibility criteria include:

  • Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 55% aggregate score (50% for SSC/ST/PwD). It is said that the aggregate score should be considered excluding languages and subsidiaries.
