Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test - UPCET 2021

UPCET 2021 offers admission to courses such as B.Pharma, B.Des, Integrated MCA, Integrated MBA, B.tech/B.Pharma (Lateral Entry), MCA, MBA, MSc, Mtech, etc.

Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET), earlier known as UPSEE, is a state-level entrance test for students seeking admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at colleges affiliated to Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur and Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur. UPCET 2021 is decided to conduct an online computer-based test. For undergraduate, MBA (Integrated) and MCA (Integrated) courses will be available in both Hindi and English while in English only for PG courses. National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the entrance test.

General Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination from any of the institutions in UP or their parents should have the domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Students who are appearing for the qualifying examination can also apply, they are exempted from producing domicile certificate.
  • No age limit

Eligibility Criteria for MCA (Integrated)

  • Candidates are required to qualify for the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics/Statistics/Accountancy as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects as optional.
  • They should secure at least 45 % marks (40% for reserved category) in the above-mentioned subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for BPharm

  • Should pass the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 level examination or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject along with Mathematics or Biology.

Eligibility Criteria for BHMCT/BFAD /BFA/B Voc/ BDes/MBA (Integrated)

  • Should pass the intermediate examination of UP Board or 10+2 level examination or equivalent.
  • Should secure an aggregate score of at least 45% (40% for reserved category).

Eligibility Criteria for MCA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow

  • Candidates should pass BCA/Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or passed BSc./BCom/BA with Mathematics.
  • Should secure an aggregate score of at least 50% (45% for SC/ST).

Eligibility Criteria for BTech Lateral Entry

  • Candidates should pass a three-year engineering diploma from an institution located in UP with a minimum score of 45% (40% for SC/ST) or whose parents are domicile of UP and she/he has passed three-year engineering diploma from a recognized Board of Technical Education in UP with a minimum 45% of marks (40% for SC/ST) in any branch of Engineering (except Agriculture Engg., Pharmacy and Architecture).
  • Candidates who passed a three-year BSc degree and with Mathematics as one of the main subjects in 12, from any recognised University securing an aggregate score of 45%  (40% for Sc/ST) can apply and they will be considered after supernumerary seats in this category with candidates belonging to the diploma stream.
  • Admission to lateral entry students is governed by the eligibility criteria set by HBTU.

    • Geometrical designs & Identification
    • Selection of related letters / words / numbers / figures
    • Identification of odd thing/item out from a group
    • Completion of numerical series based on the pattern/logic
    • Fill in the blanks of the series based on the numerical pattern and logic of the series
    • Syllogisms (logic-based questions), Identification of logic & selection of correct answers based on the logic
  • Numerical Ability & Scientific Aptitude
    • Arithmetical questions up to 10th standard
    • Calculation of fraction, percentages, square roots etc.-
    • Profit & Loss and Interest calculations-
    • Data / Table analysis, Graph & Bar Diagram and Pie Chart analysis-
    • Questions related to the common use of science (Physics & Chemistry)-
    • Health & Nutrition
